Well not exactly, but he did accidentally wound a friend while hunting quail at a Texas ranch. According to CNN.com “Harry Wittington, 78, took ‘quite a bit of spray’ in the face, neck and upper torso but is recovering nicely after he was wounded Saturday afternoon.” Katharine Armstrong owns the ranch and witnessed the shot. She said “Whittington was about 30 yards from Cheney when the vice president fired.” This reminds me of when Bush Sr. accidental hit a man in the head while golfing. Accidents happen. Just ask Rumsfeld. The military accidental bombs the wrong building all the time. It’s no big deal. If Wittington is like Iraqis, then an apology and a get-well-soon card will be enough. Armstrong said, "The nature of quail shooting ensures that this will happen. It goes with the turf."
